Search Engine Optimization (SEO)

Greetings all you Geek's out there

Since I've put up a website for my Home Based Business I keep coming across the term
Search Engine Optimization, SEO for short. Basically it's a method to drive more traffic to a website or capture page utilizing keywords and keyword phrases. Can anyone out there direct me to some useful links so I can gain a better understanding on how to effectively use SEO?
